RTI
What is RTI?
Response to Instruction and Intervention (RTI) is a data-driven, multi-tiered approach to the early identification and support of all students. This program provides additional help to students that may be struggling with their reading and/or math skills in both English and Spanish.
How does it work?
The RTI team is composed of a credentialed teacher and several trained paraeducators. They provide effective and research-based instruction to small groups of students. Teachers work with the RTI team during data meetings throughout the year to identify and monitor students' progress. Groups of students are formed based on their needs.
These groups of 2-6 students meet for 30 minutes four days a week. The RTI team provides intensive instruction in the area of need for 6-8 week periods. Our focus is to provide the skills needed to access grade level curriculum and create success for all.
